The Divine Feminine: Hormones Across the Lifespan
Thank you to everyone who joined us for The Divine Feminine: Hormones Across the Lifespan at The River Yoga. This event has passed. Join our newsletter to be the first to hear about the next one.
On Sunday, October 4th from 1-5 PM, Discover Peace Within is hosting a half-day women’s yoga retreat unlike anything we've offered before.
The Divine Feminine: Hormones Across the Lifespan
Together we'll move through yoga, yin, meditation, gentle breath work, reflection, journaling, and partner work — all held inside the symbolic metamorphosis arc of caterpillar → chrysalis → butterfly.
We'll talk honestly about hormones across the lifespan, the tension between women as the givers of life and the systems that have devalued that power, and what it means to come home to the Divine Feminine within you.
Bring a journal, an open heart, and whatever season you're in right now — we'll meet you there.
Investment is $145 - pre-paid to reserve your spot.
Space is intentionally limited to keep this circle close and connected.

I am honored to have you as a part of our sacred circle.

2. Host Credentials and Scope of This Event
Ilene Solomon Gold (Discover Peace Within) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and is serving as the Host of this Event. This Event draws on that training and experience, and participants may find aspects of the Event to feel therapeutic, healing, or emotionally meaningful.
Notwithstanding the Host’s professional background, this Event is not group therapy, individual therapy, or any other form of clinical mental health treatment, and is not a substitute for therapy. No therapist-client or clinician-client relationship is formed between any participant and the Host through participation in this Event. Participants who are existing therapy clients of the Host in another context, or who wish to become one, should understand that this Event is separate from and does not create or substitute for that clinical relationship.
3. Acknowledgment of Physical Risk
I understand that yoga, yin yoga, breath work, and other movement-based practices involve physical exertion and carry an inherent risk of physical injury, including but not limited to muscle strain, joint injury, dizziness, fainting, and exacerbation of pre-existing conditions. I understand that breath work in particular may cause lightheadedness, tingling in the extremities, altered states of consciousness, or temporary disorientation, and is not advised for individuals with certain cardiovascular, respiratory, or seizure conditions, or for those who are pregnant, without prior consultation with a physician.
I affirm that I am physically able to participate in this Event and that I have consulted a physician regarding my ability to participate if I have any reason to believe I should do so. I understand that yoga and its related practices are not a substitute for medical diagnosis or treatment.

I understand that this Event engages emotionally and psychologically significant material, including but not limited to hormonal transitions, grief, identity, relationships to family and community, and the social and historical dynamics of the patriarchy. I understand that practices such as breath work, meditation, guided reflection, and partner work can surface strong emotions, unexpected memories, or temporary psychological discomfort, and may bring up material related to past experiences, including difficult or traumatic ones.
I understand that these emotional and psychological responses are a known and possible part of this kind of experiential work, and that the Host cannot eliminate, predict, or control them. I understand that the Host is not acting as my treating therapist during this Event and that this Event is not a substitute for individual mental health care.
I understand that I am responsible for assessing my own emotional readiness to participate, and that if I have a current or historical mental health condition, trauma history, or concern about how this content may affect me, I am encouraged to consult with my own mental health provider prior to the Event and to communicate any relevant concerns to the Host in advance.
5. Partner Work and Physical Contact
I understand that this Event includes partner-based exercises that may involve physical proximity, supportive touch, or shared physical practice with another participant. I understand that all partner work is optional, that I may decline any partner exercise or request a modification at any time without explanation, and that I may request to work independently instead.
6. Right to Pause, Modify, or Leave
I understand that I may decline any individual activity, modify any practice to suit my own body and capacity, step out of the room, or leave the Event at any time, for any reason, without needing to explain myself to the Host or other participants. I understand that doing so will not affect my ability to remain part of the group for the remainder of the Event if I choose to return.
7. Assumption of Risk
Having read and understood Sections 1 through 6 above, I voluntarily choose to participate in this Event. I knowingly and voluntarily assume all risks of physical, mental, and emotional injury or discomfort that are inherent to, arise out of, or are associated with my participation, whether such risks are known to me now or only become apparent during or after the Event.
8. Release of Liability
In consideration of being permitted to participate in this Event, I, on behalf of myself, my heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns, hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue Discover Peace Within, LLC, its owners, Host, employees, contractors, and agents, and the venue, The River Yoga (collectively, the “Released Parties”), from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, or causes of action whatsoever arising out of or related to any loss, damage, physical injury, mental or emotional injury, or distress that I may sustain while participating in this Event, including any such loss, damage, or injury caused by the ordinary negligence of the Released Parties, to the fullest extent permitted under Colorado law.
